Some places are easier to explain with pictures than words. Ye Olde House Bar, tucked away on Scale Lane in Hull Old Town, is one of them.

This building has been standing since around 1450, which means it has seen a lot over the centuries. A few kings, countless pints, more stories than we could possibly write down and the occasional questionable fashion choice.

Below you will find a small collection of photos from inside the pub, around the building and the occasional moment worth remembering. Some show the character of the place, some show the people who visit, and some simply prove that the pool table does occasionally produce a winner.

If you want the full experience though, you will need to visit us in person. Photographs are good, but a proper pub atmosphere is better.
